— How to find the perfect car rental in your neighborhood?
And how to get a car from your own driveway without having to get permission from neighbors?
That’s exactly what the owners of car rental site Emerald Car Rental are trying to do with their weekly car rental service.
They’ve found out that many people are reluctant to rent cars out for more than two days a week, especially those in their own communities.
So Emerald Car Rentals is here to help.
The site has launched its weekly car rentals in a few of California’s most popular neighborhoods, such as Brentwood, Brentwood Heights, and El Monte.
“We want to provide affordable car rentals that are convenient to the neighborhood and also have great service,” said Emerald Car Owner Ryan Haggart.
Emerald Car rents cars to families, small businesses, students, and people in temporary housing.
It also offers cars for rent on weekends.
You can rent your car from Emerald Car for $15 per week, and you can rent a vehicle for an additional $1 per week.
“What we’re doing is trying to make it as convenient as possible for people to get their car on a weekend to go out to a movie, or to go to a business meeting, or just for a nice weekend getaway,” Haggarts said.
He’s already seeing the response from people who say they want to rent a car during the week, rather than renting a car for a longer period of time.
“There are people who are willing to rent for three days, for $5 a day,” he said.
Emerald Car Rents is just one of many car rental sites that have popped up over the last several years, including CarRent.com and ZipCar.
