— Aspen, a popular ski resort in the mountains of central Colorado, is seeing its average daily rental rate increase by as much as 50% this year, a new study from Axios has found.
The report, based on data from the National Association of Realtors, finds that Aspen’s average daily rent increased by $6.20 per day from December 2016 to December 2017.
As the ski resort is located in the ski town of Aspen City, it’s a popular destination for residents of the area, as the resort’s location and elevation make it relatively easy to reach the slopes.
The number of Aspens daily rental rates increased by as high as $24.20 in December, compared with an average daily rate of $18.90 for the prior year, the report found.
The number of daily rental rentals for the past six months is up by nearly 60%.
Aspen’s annual average daily average rental rate in December was $12.10, a 40% increase from the previous year, according to the report.
