A Florida man is facing charges after a woman reported him to police, after a video emerged online showing him using vulgar language to taunt her.
Police in Pensacola arrested 33-year-old Robert P. Lefferts after a witness called 911 about the alleged assault on Sunday, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.
Police found the suspect in his home and arrested him for sexual battery and harassment.
The Pensacole Beach Police Department said in a statement that Leff, who was a member of the military, had been released on a $1,000 bond and that his attorney was not available to comment.
The Florida Department to Police, a group that tracks sexual assault, said Leffs was accused of “threatening, intimidating, or intimidating” a woman after she told him to stop harassing her and that he threatened to “f**k her ass” if she did not stop.
Police said Leckerts “attempted to intimidate the victim and to retaliate by threatening to kill her if she made a complaint.”
The woman said Leiff threatened to kill herself after she said she didn’t want to have sex with him, according the statement.
The video, posted to social media by the Pensacolian, shows Leff holding the woman by the arm and making vulgar remarks about her.
Leckhart’s wife, who has since been released from custody, is seen on the video telling the man that she was not his girlfriend.
The man later calls 911 to report that Leckley was assaulting the woman and that she had to “do something about it,” the department said.
Leffertson was charged with sexual battery, a misdemeanor, and harassment, a felony.
He has been released.
Leckhart, a former member of an infantry battalion, told The Associated Press he left the military after his military career because of his relationship with the woman.
